Edit in the grid

Modify forecast values directly in the grid, cell by cell, without leaving the Forecast module.

Before you begin​

  • You need edit permission for the corresponding phase (Commercial, Marketing, Consensus, etc.). If a cell appears disabled, your role does not have permission for that phase. Contact your administrator.
  • You can only edit the currently open version. Closed versions are read-only.

Steps​

  1. Open the Forecast module and navigate to the product (SKU) you want to modify.

  2. Locate the cell for the period (month/week) and phase you want to edit. Editable columns have a visual border that distinguishes them from read-only columns.

  3. Double-click the cell. Edit mode activates: you will see the current value selected inside the cell.

  4. Enter the new numeric value. You can overwrite the existing value directly.

  5. Confirm the change using any of these actions:

    • Press Enter to confirm and move to the next cell.
    • Click outside the cell to confirm and close edit mode.
    • Press Escape to cancel without saving.

  6. No manual save is needed. The system immediately and automatically records the change in the Forecast History, with the timestamp, user, and previous value.

Verify in the history

After editing, open the Forecast History to confirm the change was recorded with the correct origin (manual edit). See History and Audit to learn how to read that record.

What happens next​

The new value is immediately visible to all users with access to that phase and version. If another participant in the collaborative cycle edits the same cell, the system records both interventions in the history.
